Choctaw County resident sentenced for failure to register as sex offender

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Christopher Edward Downey, age 38, of Grant, Okla., was sentenced to 37 months in prison, with five years of supervised release, for failure to register as sex offender.On April 15, 2024, Downey pleaded guilty to one count of failure to register as a sex offender.The charges arose from an inv...
