Competency review set for suspect in Hugo woman’s murder

A pre-preliminary conference was held Dec. 17 for Armando Mustafo Rojas-Caceras, who is the alleged suspect in the murder of Hugo’s Traci Byrd.

Traci Byrd, 53, of Hugo, was found deceased in a wooded area near Highway 72 and Highway 266 south of Council Hill on Tuesday, Oct. 28 after passers-by notified authorities of a suspicious abandoned vehicle.
