Derek Porter announces run for Oklahoma House

HUGO — Pushmataha County businessman Derek Porter has announced that he will be a candidate for the District 19 State Representative position that encompases Choctaw and Pushmataha County.

A lifelong Oklahoman, Porter owns Julian Lumber, Pushmataha County’s largest private employer. He has volunteered as a band director at Hugo High School for the past few years.
