Doaksville candelight tours to be held Friday, Saturday

Doaksville historic candlelight tours will be held Oct. 1-2 in Fort Towson. Walk through time with dragoons, refugees, civil war and last surrender… times that forever changed Choctaw County.

The tours will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the last tour starting at 10 p.m. Admission is $8, with children under 6 free.

Tours start at the gate leading to Doaksville, at the north end of the Fort Towson Cemetery.…
