Vandals raze radio station tower

Choctaw County Sheriff’s deputies responded south of Grant early Tuesday morning, where a local radio station’s tower had been razed. According to Sheriff Terry Park, the tower was property of K95.5. “It appears, at the moment, suspects were stealing copper and cut the wires holding the tower up and bringing it to the ground,” Park said. “The loss of copper equals a few hundred dollars, but damage to the tower and building is approximately $500,000.” An investigation is ongoing.
