Rudy Lopez Harris

Rudy Lopez Harris, of Hugo, Okla., passed away Dec. 15, 2025, at the age of 75.

Rudy Lopez Harris was born on Feb. 26, 1950 in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Edward Harris and Connie (Lopez) Harris. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Isabel Guiterrez and siblings.

Rudy was a resident of San Antonio, Texas, most of his life. He married Ruth Ann Hurst on May 13, 2003 in San Antonio before moving to Hugo five years ago. Rudy retired as a janitor for the City of San Antonio after 25 years of faithful service. He worked for the San Antonio Museum of Art for several years, as well. Rudy was a good Christian man who loved Jesus. He did not have a negative word to say about his life; Rudy was a gentle man and so wise. He enjoyed westerns and spending time with his beloved wife. Rudy was the best man his wife ever knew and told her daughters to find a man like Rudy to make their husband.

Rudy is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Harris of the home; son, Anthony Guiterrez and wife of San Antonio; daughter, Margaret Guiterrez Harris of Dallas, Texas; stepdaughters: Rosanne Rodriguez and Joanne Guiterrez; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Roland Harris of San Antonio, along with a host of family, friends and loved ones.
