Martha “Marty” Jane Stone-Hanson

Funeral services for Martha “Marty” Jane Stone-Hanson, of Hugo, Okla., were held Jan. 31, 2026 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home.

Martha “Marty” Jane Stone-Hanson went to be with her Lord and Savior on Jan.

27, 2026, at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Newton and Mary Simpson; her husband, Jerry Hanson; 12 brothers and sisters, three of which were her best friends: Josie Simpson, Vi Springs and Alpha Hill and her son-in-law.

Marty was a bright light who loved the Lord and her family with all her heart. Her favorite place was church and she loved to shop. She had a wonderful sense of humor, and you always knew what she was thinking. Marty was beautiful, funny, sweet and giving and her family will miss her contagious laugh and big smile.

Marty is survived by her children: Tonya Ellsworth, Billy Godbey and wife and Marty John Godbey and wife; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; best friend and niece, and her church family at Southside Baptist Church, along with many other family members, friends and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Hall Cemetery in Antlers, Okla., with Bro. Edwin Findey and Bro.
