Funeral services for Patsy Jean Fennell-Scott, of Valliant, Okla., were held Jan. 30, 2026 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Patsy Jean (Richard) Fennell-Scott, 91, went to her heavenly home on Jan. 27, 2026.

Patsy was born on March 24, 1934, in Valliant, Okla., the daughter of Willie Frank “Bill” Richard and Tellie Ethel (Vickery) Richard.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Donald Fennell; her second husband, A.J.

Scott; son, James Fennell and wife; sister, Helen Westbrook; brothers: Jimmie Richard, Billy Jack Richard, Jerry Richard, Josh Richard, John Richard and Joe Richard and a special friend.

Patsy grew up in Valliant and married her husband, Donald Fennell, on April 23, 1954, in Hugo, Okla. Together with their children, they traveled all over the country for Donald’s work, but their roots remained in McCurtain County and they always called it home. They spent 32 loving years together until his passing in 1986. She later married A.J.

Scott, on July 27, 1991, and they made their home in Millerton. They were blessed with 14 years together until his passing in 2006.

Patsy was a homemaker most of her adult life, caring for her home and children was something she took great pride in. In her younger years, she enjoyed fishing, playing cards with her friends and tending to her roses. Patsy loved traveling and visited almost all 50 states. She also enjoyed a good snack; peanut butter out of the container and spending time with her favorite donkey, Daisy May. Above all else, her love for the Lord was evident in all who knew her. Patsy was an Assembly of God member and enjoyed sharing the gospel with everyone she could.

Patsy is survived by her loving family; children: Jeannie Moye and husband, Tommy Fennell, and Johnny Fennell and spouse, all of Millerton, Okla.; 10 grandchildren and their spouses; 13 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; special friends, along with a host of other friends, family and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Moran Cemetery, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
