Are there really 11 seasons?

I came across an interesting opinion during the past week, and find it worthy of sharing.

Since a child, I have always been told that our part of Oklahoma has four seasons.

Winter. Spring. Summer. Fall. I have never really had any aversion to that assertion, although I’m not sure why I haven’t seen anyone put up much of a challenge or alternative.
