Dorothy Louise McGarry

Dorothy Louise McGarry, 91, of Weston, Mo., passed away May 7, 2026. Dorothy was born Feb. 21, 1935 in Choctaw County, Okla., to Claude and Leona (McQueen) Harless. She married Raymond Howard McGarry on June 19, 1953 at the Baptist Church of Soper, Okla.

The family moved to Weston, Mo., on Dec.

16, 1960. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her parents: Claude and Leona (McQueen) Harless; James Harless and Johnny Wayne Kirkpatrick; and her son, Mark McGarry.

She is survived by her sister, Sue Cushman of Harrah, Okla.; her sons: Russell McGarry of Brownsville, Ore., John (Lindsey) McGarry of Freeport, Fla., Brian (Sandi) McGarry of Euless, Texas, Justin McGarry of Spring Hill, Kan., and Ted (Susan) McGarry of St. Joseph, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; eight great‑grandchildren; and four great‑great‑grandchildren.

A private family graveside service was held at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Weston.

Arrangements were held by Rollins Funeral Home, Platte City, Mo.
