Trump administration accuses Museum of ideological capture

The White House Domestic Policy Council released a 162-page report on July 4, America’s 250th anniversary of independence. The report claims Smithsonian leaders view American history as “a prime tool” to push social justice ideas, rather than teach honest history. It says the museum’s mission drifted from scholarship toward advocacy rooted in what it calls Marxist thinking.
