Argyro “Argy” Kerr
Argyro “Argy” Kerr, of Boswell, Okla., passed away Aug. 18, 2026, at the age of 81.
Argyro “Argy” J. (Gafos) Kerr was born on July 22, 1945 in Manhattan, Kan., the daughter of John Gafos and Elizabeth (Setchell) Gafos. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Miles “Bob” Robert Kerr; and sister, Anthipi “Fifi” Bijelic.
Argy grew up in California and was a graduate of San Pedro High School. She married her loving husband, Bob Kerr, on Feb. 21, 1970 in Redondo Beach, Calif. That following year, they moved to Boswell, Okla. They built their life together, enjoying 54 years of love for each other and their family.
Argy began working for the State of Oklahoma at the OSU Extension Office in Hugo as a nutritionist where she worked for more than 25 years. Beyond her professional career, Argy enjoyed caring for her many dogs and ducks. She also had a love of cooking for her friends and family. It was a way for her to bring everyone together and many treasured memories were formed around her table.
Argy is survived by her sons: John Kerr and wife and Christopher Kerr and wife; three grandchildren, along with a host of other family, friends and loved.
