Loraine Odessa Roebuck

Funeral services for Loraine Odessa Roebuck, of Boswell, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 24, 2026 at New Life Family Church in Boswell. Loraine passed away Oct. 17, 2026, at the age of 87.

Loraine Odessa (Manar) Roebuck was born on March 28, 1939 in Boswell, the daughter of David Emmett Manar and Virna E (Hallman) Manar. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd “J.C.” Roebuck; brothers: James Manar, Bobby Manar, Roy Lee Lee, Bud Manar, Luke Manar, Ode Manar and Woodrow Manar; sisters: Lola Higginbottom, Berdie Howell, Mildred Snelgroves, Deanie Painter, Madge Shaw and Opal Trusty.

Loraine lived most of her life in the Boswell area and was a graduate of Boswell High School, Class of 1957. She married her beloved husband, J.C. on March 21, 1959 in Soper, Okla. Loraine cooked for the Choctaw Community Center and also worked at Boswell Lumber for many years and loved her job. She was a very religious lady and loved the Lord above all things. Loraine enjoyed aggravating people and spending time with her family. Loraine is survived by her sons: Tony Roebuck and wife of Bokchito, Okla., Jay Roebuck and wife of Paris, Texas, and Mark Roebuck and wife of Robertsdale, Ala.; four grandchildren and numerous other family friends and loved ones. Interment will follow the service at Restland Cemetery with Bro. Rick Austin officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
