A real fight... with consequences

Back in the sixth grade, I remember Robert E. Lee (Third Ward) Principal Raymond Stewart telling the sixth-grade class a joke on a cold winter day. He told of the farmer’s dog that took up chasing a rabbit and returned a bit later empty handed.

The farmer scolded the dog and asked why he came back empty handed.

The dog replied, “I was running for a meal. The rabbit was running for his life!”
