Funeral services for Barbara Ann Duncan, of Fort Towson, Okla., will be held at 10 a.m. Jan. 25, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Fort Towson. Barbara passed away Jan. 21, 2024, at the age of 72.

Barbara Ann Duncan was born on March 27, 1951 in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Reginald “Boots” Cosby and Ruth (Lang) Cosby. She was preceded in death by her father and sister, Lula Mae Cosby.

Barbara lived in Fort Towson most of her life. She graduated from Fort Towson High School, class of 1969 and was a member of the Fort Towson First Baptist Church. Barbara worked as an operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company before going to work for Wal-Mart for many years. She was also the owner of Barbara’s Fashion and worked at the nutrition center. Barbara enjoyed playing Shanghai Rummy and loved to read. She also enjoyed helping put together the Fort Towson Homecoming and being a part of the cooking crew for Vacation Bible School. Most of all, Barbara loved getting together with her family, spending time with her children and grandchildren and going to watch the girls’ ball games. She will be missed dearly by her family and loved ones.

Barbara is survived by her sons: Rocky Duncan of Sawyer, Okla., and Kooney Duncan and wife, Lendy of Grant, Okla.; grandchildren: Chancy Page, Beckett Duncan and Leedey Duncan; great-grandchild, Jack Page; mother, Ruth Cosby; brother, Brian Cosby and wife, Tonia of Wright City, Okla.; aunts: Ruby Maynard, Bettie Chappell and Ann Smith; nieces: Shelbie Williams and Billie Jean Felker and great-nieces and nephews: Maddison Williams, Bubba Williams and Gracelyn Williams, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Jan. 24, 2024 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo.

Interment will follow the service at Fort Towson Cemetery with Bro. Bob O’Neill officiating, assisted by Bro. Dean Young and Bro. Doug McClure.

Services are under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
