Funeral services for Billey Roy Ferguson, of Antlers, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. Oct. 26, 2024 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel. Billey passed away Oct. 20, 2024, at the age of 91.

Billey Roy Ferguson was born on Oct. 18, 1933 in Soper, Okla., the son of Roy L. Ferguson and Cordie (Dean) Ferguson. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Letha Joyce (Antwine) Ferguson; daughters: Darla Fern Valkner and Letha Denise Ritchie and brothers: Lonnie Ferguson, James Ferguson, R.L. Ferguson, Forrest Ferguson and Walter Ferguson.

Billey grew up in the Soper and Antlers communities. He graduated from Soper High School and worked as a drafter in the boating industry. Billey married his beloved wife of 62 years, Letha Joyce Antwine on Dec. 24, 1956 in Antlers. Billey and Letha moved to Houston around 1960 and moved back to Antlers 22 years later. He enjoyed sharing his love for fishing with his family and took pride in growing his vegetable garden every year. He loved visiting with his brothers and spending time with his family. Billey’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family as they carry him with them. Billey is survived by his son, Darrel Richard Ferguson and wife of Antlers; six grandchildren along with their spouses, 10 greatgrandchildren; sisters: Oweda Davenport, Yvonne Robinson, Kay Thompson and Sue Egan; numerous nieces and nephews, other family, friends and loved ones.

Interment followed the services at Sugar Creek Cemetery in Soper with Joe Maple officiating. He was assisted by Brent Franks, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
