Mr. Billy L. Brown of Buffalo, Texas, passed away on June 1, 2021 at his home after a long battle with cancer.

Billy was born to William and Izoria (Linkswiller) Brown on March 19, 1937 outside of Hugo, Okla.

Billy attended Hugo Schools until his junior year when his dad passed away and he had to support his younger sister and mother.

He worked as a mechanic for Bright Implement in Hugo until 1976. He left Hugo and became a mill wright for the rest of his career. He traveled extensively throughout the U.S.

He settled in Buffalo, Texas, where he loved to garden, rebuild tractors and most of all attended his church, and serve his Lord Jesus Christ.

Bill was a faithful member of the Calvary Christian Center in Oakwood, Texas.

Bill is survived by his wife: Anita Brown of the home; one daughter, DeLana (McEwen) Wilbourn (James) of Milton Freewater, Ore; one son, Bill Brown (Lori) Hanover, Ind.; one step-son, Jeremy Grey of the home; one step-daughter, Jessica Kelly of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Jane Slaton of Poteau, Okla; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and six nephews and three nieces.

He is proceeded in death by his parents; one brother, Berl Glaze; two sisters: Pauline Davis and Margie Turner; one nephew, Johnny Davis; one grandson and one great-granddaughter.

Memorial Service will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Hugo Lake Primitive Pavilion.

Family will be providing main meat dishes and drinks, potluck afterwards. Please bring lawn chairs.

In lieu of flowers, please make donation to M.D. Anderson Houston, Texas, or the nearest cancer center near you.

Cremation was handled by All Families Mortuary, Madisonville, Texas.
