Funeral services for Billy Shad Greenwalt, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Feb. 27, 2024 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Billy Shad Greenwalt, 51, passed on from this life on Feb. 23, 2024, in Hugo, Okla., surrounded by his loving family. Billy was born on Nov. 8, 1972 in Dallas, Texas, the son of Billy L. Greenwalt and Vickie Barton. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vickie Barton and bonus sons: Colton Perdue and Jacob Mays.

Billy was a lifelong resident of the Hugo area, graduating from Hugo High School. Billy later joined the military in 1994 and proudly served in the United States Army.

Billy was a true family man. His children and grandchildren were his world and to them, he was their hero. Billy always put his family first and was there to help them anyway he could. Billy had a way with people, always very outgoing and never met a stranger. He had a huge heart and it showed by the way he loved his family. Billy’s passing has left a void in his family’s lives but his memory will live on through them.

“Loving life and all that it has to offer. One day in my life is like a thousand years lived. Family first,” Billy Greenwalt.

Billy is survived by his loving family; wife, Ashley Greenwalt; sons: Billy Greenwalt, Jr., Matthew Greenwalt, Blaten Tucker, Brandon Greenwalt, Keaten Roberts, DJay Jackson, William Clinton, Randy Kisling and Shayne McPherson; daughters: Brandi Kisling, Kalyn Roberts, Adison Roberts, Payton Roberts, Sophia Greenwalt, Breeann Greenwalt, Addelyn Greenwalt; five grandchildren; father, Billy L. Greenwalt; brothers: Joseph Lee Greenwalt and Jr. Vega; sisters: Sandi Jarman and Lisa Zuniga, along with a host of other friends, family and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Shoat Springs Cemetery in Hugo, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
