Funeral services for Candy Lyn Tollett, of Hugo, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 19, 2023 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel. Candy passed away Oct. 15, 2023, at the age of 63.

Candy Lyn Tollett was born on June 20, 1960 in Borger, Texas, the daughter of Gus Gibson and Jimmy (Bonner) Walker. She was preceded in death by her father, Gus; mother, Jimmy and brotherin-law, Randy Robertson.

Candy was a graduate of Fort Towson High School, class of 1978. She married the love of her life, Howard Tollett on June 30, 1978 at the Sawyer Baptist Church in Sawyer, Okla. She worked 14 years for the Choctaw County Sheriff’s office as an administrator and had recently retired. Candy enjoyed being outdoors, mowing, riding her side-by-side and taking care of her plants. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Candy also enjoyed working on crafts and puzzles. She loved flowers, her dog, cooking for her family and the holidays, but she especially loved playing games with her grandkids. Candy will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Candy is survived by her husband of 45 years, Howard; son, Heath Tollett of Hugo; daughter, Torre Taylor and husband, Eric of Hugo; step mother, Patsy Gibson of Lucas, Texas; brother, Teri Gibson and wife, Alexa of Quitaque, Texas; sister, Gwen Robertson of Hugo; grandchildren: Cody Taylor, Jacey Taylor and Evan Tollett; nephews: Brandon Allen and wife, Stacy, Dustin Allen and Colton Tollett and wife, Rylee; nieces: Brooke Gibson, Lacey Burroughs and husband, Dan, Emily Hernandez and husband, Nelson, Tambra Dunn and husband, Brody, Allie Tollett, Jessi Rushing and husband, Jesse and Amy Ashford; brothers-inlaw: Bobby Tollett and Alan Tollett and wife, Melissa; sister-in-law, Annette Nowell and husband, Billy, along with a host of family, friends and loved ones.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo.

Interment will follow the service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Bro. Shawn Robertson officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
