Carol Elaine Hicks

Graveside services for Carol Elaine Hicks, of Gainesville, Texas, were held at 10 a.m. Sept. 15, 2020 at Restland Cemetery in Boswell. Carol passed away Sept. 12, 2020, at the age of 70.

Carol Elaine (Bean) Hicks was born on March 6, 1950 to James Albert and Lois Geraldine (Hickman) Bean in Fannin County, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, James and husband, Jerry Hicks.

Carol was a member of Riverside Unity Church and worked as a secretary in the industrial field. She enjoyed gardening and sharing her vegetables with all her neighbors. Carol loved riding horses and spent many hours showing them in events in the area. She was a people person and was a friend to everyone she met. Carol will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Carol is survived by her mother, Lois; sons: Mark Love of Idabel, Okla., and Shane Sosh of Colorado; brother, Mike Bean and wife of Holland, Texas; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a special friend, along with many other family, friends and loved ones.

Bro. Tim Harless officiated the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
