Daniel Little
Daniel Little, a father, brother, companion, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026 in Hugo, Okla. Born on July 1, 1947 in Ft. Worth, Texas, Daniel’s life was an adventure that spanned the country.
After proudly serving his country in the United States Navy, Daniel dedicated 15 years of his life to the US Postal Service in North Carolina, a role he performed with diligence and pride. His zest for life was further exemplified by his second job, in which he thoroughly enjoyed –– delivering pizzas. This role brought smiles to many and allowed Daniel to indulge in his love for meeting new people and sharing stories. Five years ago, Daniel chose to make Hugo his home.
Daniel’s adventurous spirit shone brightest when he was outdoors, with a fishing rod in hand or shuffling cards at a Texas Hold-em table. His love for these pastimes was infectious, and he was always ready to teach a willing learner or challenge a seasoned player. He is survived by his two sons: David Little and Jacob Little; Daniel’s life was further enriched by the friendship of Elisabeth Chancellor of Hugo, who stood by him with unwavering support and love. He also leaves behind two brothers: Johnny and Robert Little of Kennedale, Texas, and a sister, Mary Jane Waldrop of Ft. Worth, all of whom will miss his laughter and light. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Ruth (McDonald) Little; and one brother, Jimmy Little.
