Debra Lynn (Miles) Tuttle, of the Hugo area –– beloved mother, sister and friend, passed away from this life on July 30, 2026, at the age of 70. She was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., on July 11, 1956, to Harold and Grace Marie (Loppicclo) Miles, one of three daughters.

After completing her medical training, Debra enjoyed a long and rewarding career as a skilled Registered Nurse, serving in many diverse specialties of the healthcare field. She met and married the love of her life, Raymond Dean Tuttle, and together they built a life of cattle ranching in southeast Oklahoma until his passing in 2021. Debra and Ray were members of Heritage United Methodist Church of Hugo and embraced the small-town pace of rural Choctaw County. She also enjoyed the crafting with ceramics, and her tender heart often led her to help injured animals. But Debra’s true fulfillment was found in her role as a mother. Her sons remember enjoying family movies together and especially spending time in the Michigan outdoors along the creeks and among the trees, as she passed along her love of nature that they still carry. Debra will be deeply missed by her sons: Jeremy Christiansen and wife, and Alexander Christiansen. She is also survived by her sisters: Patricia Moore and Suzanne Verberg, and her church family. Debra was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; and her parents: Harold and Grace Marie (Loppicclo) Miles.

Memorial arrangements are in care of Prater- Lampton-Mills & Coffey, Hugo.
