Funeral services for Deveria Jean (Barker) Parker were held at 10 a.m. Oct. 18, 2024 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel. Deveria passed away Oct. 15, 2024, at the age of 76.

Deveria Jean (Barker) Parker was born on March 18, 1948, the daughter of Z. Edgar “Buster” Barker and Betty Jo (Dancer) Barker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnny Parker; son, Wes Parker and daughter, Kim Parker.

Devie lived most of her life in Choctaw County. She married her loving husband, Johnny Parker, on Feb. 11, 1964 in Boswell, Okla. Together they owned and operated Western Mart and Parker Floor Covering from 1986 to 2017. She also worked for Walter White Insurance Company for several years.

Devie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. Her greatest joy in life truly was her family. Devie was always their biggest supporter and there was nothing more precious to her than spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. Devie will be deeply missed but; her loving memory will live on in all who knew and loved her. Devie is survived by her loving family; son, Todd Parker and wife, Kendra of Tuttle, Okla.; grandchildren: Weston Parker of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Makenna Parker-Bahl and husband, Christian of Piedmont, Okla.; sister, Lou Ann Payne and husband, Terry of Hugo; brother-in-law, David Parker and wife, Tenna of Moss Bluff, La.; nephews: Ryan Payne, Chad Payne, Michael Parker; niece, Sarah Hoste; along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Restland Cemetery in Boswell with Bro. Doug McClure officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
