Eddie Brown
Eddie Ray Brown passed away on Feb. 28, 2026, at his home in Rattan, Okla., where he had lived for two years.
Eddie was born in Modesto, Calif., on Aug. 23, 1957 and moved to Rufe, Okla., in 1991. Our large family made years of memories there and he loved the Rufe community; it truly was his home.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray Brown and Wilma Walls; sisters: Judy Winters and Vickie Brown; a nephew, a niece and his great-niece.
He is survived by his sisters: Dena Pimentel, Kim Gaines, Karen Brown, a niece, and his best friend; stepbrothers: Mark Walls and Chief, along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Eddie’s laugh was unique and contagious. He was a Jack-of-all-trades and could fix anything. He had an amazing green thumb in and out of the garden, loved to argue, drink beer and drive for days. He didn’t care where he was going or who’s car he had, he just wanted to be anywhere, but where he was. He tried his best to live life on his terms, which usually kept him in hot water, but he always felt guilty and tried to make amends. He was a handful and a beautiful mess. His family will miss him forever.
Arrangements are under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
