Funeral services for Edgar “Leo” Ball, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Feb. 1, 2024 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel.

Edgar passed away Jan. 29, 2024, at the age of 76.

Edgar Leo Ball was born on Nov. 11, 1947, in Hugo, Okla., the son of Ed Ball and Lillian (Stephens) Ball.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Henry Ball; sisters: Janie Christine Booth and Flora Joyce Hamill; a granddaughter and greatgranddaughter.

Leo was a lifelong resident of Choctaw County and worked as a broth kettle cook at Campbell Soup for 41 years. He married the love of his life, Linda, on Nov. 30, 1982 in Paris, Texas. In his younger years, Leo liked camping at Raymond Gary Lake and enjoyed the outdoors. He loved camping in the Cloudy mountains and driving the dirt roads. Leo also enjoyed riding bicycles, working in his yard and liked to build things. Most of all, Leo loved to be with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones.

Leo is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Ball; son, Eddie Ball and wife of Soper, Okla.; daughters: Christie Terry-Ball and wife of Hugo, Dedee Bruce of Fort Towson and Sammie Harvey and husband of Fort Towson; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and sister, Sarah Jane Jenkins, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Springs Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Danny Mills and Bro. Doug McClure officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
