Graveside services for Francis JoAnne (English) Gibson, of Boswell, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. Jan. 24, 2025 at Restland Cemetery in Boswell. Francis passed away Jan. 21, 2025, at the age of 92.

Francis JoAnne Gibson was born on Jan. 24, 1932 in Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of J.H. English, Sr. and Valma Cleo (Chandler) English. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, J.H. English, Jr.

JoAnne married the love of her life, Richard Joe Gibson on June 22, 1951 in Fort Worth, Texas. She loved the Lord and was a member of the Cowboy Crossing Church in Hugo. JoAnne and Richard loved ballroom dancing when they were younger and made it a priority to spend time together. She also enjoyed water skiing, hunting and fishing. JoAnne loved cooking but she especially loved taking care of her kids and babysitting the grandchildren. She lived a long and happy life and passed just short of her 93rd birthday. JoAnne will be missed by all who knew and loved her. JoAnne is survived by her husband of more than 73 years, Richard Gibson of the home; sons: Richard Gibson of Petrolia, Texas, Mark Gibson and wife of Boyd, Texas, and Jay Gibson of Boswell; daughter, Christy Mason and husband of Boswell; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of family, friends and loved ones.

Bro. Edwin Findley officiated the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
