Funeral services for Frankie Heady, Sr., of Hugo, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Oct. 7, 2023 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo. Frankie passed away Oct. 4, 2023, at the age of 58.

Frankie Heady, Sr. was born on Sept. 23, 1965 in Paris, Texas, the son of LeeRoy Heady and Ruby (Workman) Heady. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Ruby Mims and Donna Montya; and a granddaughter, and a father-in-law.

Frankie lived in the Hugo, Okla., community on and off his whole life. He worked in the oilfield industry and was a ranch hand. Frankie married the love of his life, since 1986, on July 12, 2003 in Paris, Texas. He was known for being a Jack of all trades. He liked to race cars and fight roosters. Frankie enjoyed arts and crafts, working with his hands, fishing and dancing. He liked to pester his family and make them laugh. He had a saying, “If I can’t make you laugh, we can’t be friends.” Above all else, he loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Frankie is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Iantha Heady; children, Jonathan Heady and wife, Curtis Heady, Frankie Heady, Jr. and wife and Crissy Heady; 14 grandchildren; brothers: Harlan Heady and Charles Heady; sisters: Beverly Bonomo, Gena Griffin, Carolyn Smith, Carol Floyd and Connie Adams; stepmother, Charlotte Heady; a mother-in-law, a brother-inlaw, two sisters-in-law, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Goodland Cemetery with Danny Mills and Doug McClure officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
