George Loyal Farmer, Sr.

Sawyer resident George Loyal Farmer, Sr., 85, passed away July 21, 2026 in Hugo, Okla., at the age of 85.

George was born on Dec. 6, 1940, in Sawyer, Okla. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wanda Patricia Farmer; and son, George Farmer.

George was a lifelong resident of the Sawyer community. He married his loving wife, Pat, in Hugo, and they made their home there in Saw- George spent much of his life working as a rock layer, a trade that reflected his strong work ethic. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed competing in Hugo Bass Club tournaments for manyyears. George was a devoted family man, a loving husband, father and a proud Papa to his children and grandchildren, and he treasured every moment spent with them. George is survived by his loving family; children, Travis Farmer and wife, of Fort Towson, Okla., and Edward Farmer of Phoenix, Az.; and several grandchil-
