Funeral services for Geraldene “Gerri” Taylor, of Hugo, Okla., will be held at 10 a.m. April 3, 2026 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home.

Geraldene “Gerri” Taylor, 76, went to her heavenly home on March 27, 2026, passing on from this life in Dallas, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Gerri was born on Aug. 20, 1949 in Tushka, Okla., the daughter of JB Taylor and Emma Jean (Coats) Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents, JB Taylor and Emma Jean “Jeanne” Meeker Gilden; and daughter, Kimberly Hill.

Gerri was a lifelong resident of Choctaw County and the owner and operator of Gerri’s Beautique in Hugo. She was known for her independence, strength and dedication to her community. She loved the outdoors, trail riding, cutting wood, deer and hog hunting. Gerri proudly served with the Speer Volunteer Fire Department for 18 years, a role she deeply loved. She has left a legacy of service and love to her family and community.

Gerri is survived by her loving family; daughter, Charla White and spouse of Hugo; two grandchildren; sisters: Yvonne Rector of Elmore City, Okla., and Deborah Kaye Mason of Marble Falls, Texas; step-mother, Margadell Taylor of Hugo; along with a host of other family and loved ones.

Interment will follow the service at Historic Boggy Depot Cemetery in Atoka with Bro. Johnny Corgill officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
