Funeral services for Gregory “Greg” O’Neil Hammack, of Hugo, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. July 16, 2026 at Unity Baptist Church. Gregory passed away July 11, 2026, at the age of 72.

Gregory O’Neil Hammack was born on Aug. 3, 1953 in Austin, Texas, to William Monroe Hammack, Jr. and Mildred Bonnet Hammack. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Billy Hammack.

Greg served in the United States Army National Guard after graduating from high school. He worked in construction in all different areas for 20 years. After moving to Hawaii, he surrendered to the ministry. Greg moved his family to Fort Worth, Texas, and enrolled into the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He began his ministry in 1992 and pastored in churches for 25 years. During this time, he reached so many lives. Beyond his dedication to serving the Lord, Greg had a love for the outdoors. Hunting, fishing and golfing were some of the hobbies he truly enjoyed.

Greg is survived by his wife, LuAnn Hammack; son, Neil Hammack; daughter, Kelly Hammack, five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Clay Hammack and wife; and sister, Blenda Wilson, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Unity Baptist Church in Hugo.

Greg Mack, WF Grammar and Peter Harris will officiate the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
