Hattie Lou Barnes

Hattie Lou Barnes passed away peacefully on Dec. 12, 2024 in Paris, Texas, at the age of 93.

Hattie was born in Idabel, Okla., on March 23, 1931 to Irene Johnson-Jones and Robinson Perry Jones. She was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation. Hattie leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with all of her family and friends, including some but not all by far... Donna Smallwood, her sisters: Veralynn Williston and Noakola Shufeldt. Hattie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Earnest Barnes; a daughter, Vickie Lynn Green; a sister, Shirley Jones-Evans; a brother, W.R. Jones; a nephew and both parents.

Hattie’s life was a tapestry of love, dedication and spirited passion that touched everyone she knew. Hattie’s vibrant spirit and passionate soul will be deeply missed. Her life was a testament to the power of love and the beauty of a life well-lived.

Funeral services for Hattie Lou Barnes were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024 at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in the Chapel.

Services were under the direction of Prater- Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.
