Funeral services for Imogene Wagner, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. June 29, 2021 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home of Hugo. Imogene passed away June 24, 2021, at the age of 78.

Imogene Wagner was born on Aug. 12, 1942, in Anadarko, Okla., to Robert and Verley “Sis” (Pool) Pierce. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Eugene Pierce.

Imogene married Ron Wagner on Feb. 12, 1960 in Apache, Okla. They moved to the Hugo area in the early 1970s. Nothing made Imogene happier than taking care of her home and raising their two daughters. She enjoyed reading, spending time outdoors, fishing and camping. Imogene loved gardening, but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She will be greatly missed by her family and all of those who knew and loved her.

Imogene is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ron Wagner; daughters: Jana James and husband, Chief of Hugo, Gina Smith and husband, Tim of Durant, Okla.; grandchildren: Jessica Allred and husband, Ralph, Jason James and wife, Brandi, Jake Smith and Josh Smith; great-grandchildren: Kameron Allred, Noah Allred, Palin Allred, Brayson James, Shawn James and Jaci James; brothers: Richard Pierce of Longview, Texas, Jimmy Pierce of Elgin, Okla., and Bobby Pierce of Edmond, Okla., along with a host o other family, friends and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo with Pastor Toby Byrd officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
