Janie Elizabeth Wynn Pollard, of O’Brien, Fla., passed away at the age of 69 on Sunday, April 26, 2026 in Soper, Okla., surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer. Janie was born on Aug. 25, 1956 in Honolulu, Hawaii, to her loving parents, Robert Wynn, Jr. and Mary (Shelton) Wynn. She later married Dave Pollard in San Antonio, Texas, and together they made their home in Pinellas Park, Fla., before eventually retiring to their home in O’Brien.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church O’Brien where she was always greeted by her friends with “Here comes Sunshine.” She loved life, always had a smile on her face and deeply loved the Lord. Throughout their lives Janie and Dave traveled extensively to Germany, Japan, Africa, Europe, Canada and all over the US. She loved animals, especially horses, and found great joy in baking and beautifully decorating cakes for her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Mary of Soper, Okla.; her son, Frank “Junior” Wynn of Seattle, Wash., and her daughter, Rebekah Lynn Wisener of O’Brien, Fla. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Wynn and wife of Corsicana, Texas; her sister, Patty Hatch and husband of Kerrville, Texas; and her brother, Ricky Wynn and wife of Gunter, Texas. Janie leaves behind six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, as well as a niece, five nephews, and a large circle of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert; her husband, Dave; her son, Timothy and all her grandparents.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2026 at First Baptist Church in Soper and she will be laid to rest in Soper Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Miller & Miller Funeral Home of Hugo.
