Joshaway Geems Priddy

Funeral services for Joshaway Geems Priddy, of Hugo, Okla., were held Feb. 18, 2025 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Joshaway passed away Feb. 14, 2025, at the age of 74.

Joshaway Geems Priddy was born on May 21, 1950 in Fort Towson, Okla., the son of Ervin Signal Priddy and Elsie (Ridenour) Priddy. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Oma May Priddy; son, Michale Geems Priddy; brothers: Jessie Priddy and Jean Priddy; sisters: Ivaline Morris and Ida Jackson.

Joshaway was a lifelong resident of Choctaw County and was a graduate of Fort Towson High school. He married the love of his life, Oma May (Hider) Priddy on Oct. 12, 1968 in Hugo.

Joshaway enjoyed being outdoors and working in his garden. He was never scared of hard work and was always there to lend a hand to anyone in need. Joshaway never met a stranger and always enjoyed visiting with his friends and family. Above all else, Joshaway loved the Lord and his family. Reading his Bible daily and spending time with his family were some of the things he truly enjoyed. Joshaway’s passing has left a void in his families lives but his memory will live on in all who knew and loved him. Joshaway is survived by his son, Mark Priddy and wife of Sawyer, Okla.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildrens; brothers: John Priddy and wife, Jim Priddy and wife, James Priddy and wife, Jeffery Priddy and wife; sister, Inell Spencer and husband; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family, friends and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Fort Towson Cemetery, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
