Karla Kay Clark
Karla Kay Clark, a friend to everyone, was born on Dec. 5, 1969 in Ardmore, Okla., and passed away on March 16, 2026 in Duncanville, Texas, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer.
Karla spent her early years in Ardmore, where she attended Ardmore schools and built lifelong connections. She later made her home in the Duncanville, Texas, area where she worked as a freelance court reporter for 22 years before retiring.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Clark; brother, Mark Alan Clark; and grandmother, Betty Byrd.
Karla is survived by her mother, Mary Wallis; stepson, Johnathan Scott; brother, Mike Clark; uncle and aunt, Arthur and Kay Rickets; aunt, Margaret Liles; as well as numerous cousins and step-families. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs: Linnie, Gracie and Birdy, who were dear companions in her life.
No services will be conducted. Those wishing to honor Karla’s memory may make a contribution to Patti Comstock of Forever Friends Foster Care and Rescue (P.O. Box 1224, Ardmore, OK 73402).
Karla will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and the lasting friendships she made throughout her life.
