Katherine Pauline (Albertson) Hood, of Hugo, Okla., was born on April 22, 1951 in Ponca City, Okla., the daughter of Joseph Thomas Albertson and Betty Jean (Daniels) Albertson. She passed away Sept. 12, 2025, at the age of 74. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joseph “Jody” Hood and sisters: Irene Eisenhower, Rosie Albertson, Jo Ann Blankenship and Myrtle Albertson.

Katherine had lived in the Hugo area for the past 30 years. She married the love of her life, Charles Hood, on Nov. 17, 1969 in Bethany, Okla. Katherine loved to take care of her family and home as a homemaker and also worked as a custodian at Okmulgee Tech for many years. She was a member of the OHCA and a devoted member of the New Hope Church of God. Katherine loved her family deeply, especially her grandchildren. Katherine is survived by her husband, Charles Hood of the home; son, Thomas Hood and wife of Hugo; daughter, Theresa Green and spouse of Midwest City, Okla.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Arrangements were under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
