Katie Belle Boddie

Graveside services for Katie Belle Boddie, of Calera, Okla., were held on Jan. 18, 2024 at Restland Cemetery in Boswell, Okla. Katie passed away Jan. 13, 2024, at the age of 89.

Katie Belle Boddie was born on Sept. 12, 1934, in Jayton, Texas, the daughter of Alfred Benton and Myrtle (Hawkins) Benton. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Perry Boddie; son, Floyd Steven McKeown; a grandson; brothers: Jack Benton, John Benton and W.R. Benton and sister, Victory Hendricks.

Katie lived most of her life in Waco, Texas. She married her beloved husband, Perry, in 1977 in Fort Worth. She worked as a waitress for many years and enjoyed taking care of her children and home. Katie liked to be at home, watching TV and loved to spend time with her family. Her family will miss her greatly.

Katie is survived by her daughter, Paula Hicks of Durant, Okla.; four grandchildren, nine greatgrandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Services were under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
