Funeral services for Loressa Torres, of Garvin, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2021 at Goodland Church in Holly Creek. Loressa passed away Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021, at the age of 60.

Loressa was born Jan. 11, 1961 in DeQueen, Ark., the daughter of Aleck Alexander and Evalina (Fobb) Alexander. Loressa married Alfonso Torres on March 27, 1983 in Broken Bow, Okla.

Loressa was known to be a hard worker. She worked days and nights rotating shifts for Tri-Lakes for many years. In January of 2020, Loressa began working night shift for Tyson Foods. When she was not working, she attended the grandkids’ softball games, dance recitals or any school activities they had going on. Loressa loved to cook for her family and coworkers. She enjoyed being outdoors and always looked forward to family backyard barbecues. Loressa loved and cared for everyone in her family and would always call to check on them. She enjoyed making trips to the flea markets with her husband and kids. Loressa loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. If she was not too tired or if she was not working on Sundays, she would attend church. At any time anyone in her family had a problem, she would tell them “to pray and have faith.” Loressa was always with her husband and where you would see one you would see the other. She is preceded in death by her parents, Aleck and Evalina Alexander and her sister, Theresa Wickson.

Loressa leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 37 years, Alfonso of the home; daughters: Amanda Ebsen and husband, Steve of Hugo, Okla., Erica Rosas and husband, Alejandro of Broken Bow, and Amy Michelle Torres of Durant, Okla; grandchildren: Steve Ebsen, Jr. and companion, Samantha Lee, Britney Ebsen and companion, Markis Hricko, Elizabeth Torres and companion, Bryson Tom, Andrea and Audrey Rocha, Dimitri Rosas, Briana Bonilla, Claudia Torres, Beatrice Marrufo, Jonathan Marrufo and Isabel Marrufo; five great-grandchildren, along with many loved family and friends.

Interment followed the service at Black River Cemetery in Golden, Okla., under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
