Funeral services for Luther David Manasco were held at 11 a.m. Jan. 6, 2024 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel. Luther passed away Dec. 29, 2023, at the age of 69.

Luther David Manasco was born on April 16, 1954, in Natchitoches, La., the son of Luther “Luke” Manasco and Eula Mae (Powell) Manasco. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: George Manasco and Jack Manasco and sisters: Gertie Doherty, Carolyn Manasco and Nelda Manasco.

David worked as an electrician most of his life. He married his loving wife, Loretta, on Dec. 9, 1983, in Hugo, and they spent 40 wonderful years together. David was a big LSU fan and enjoyed many hobbies, such as golf, deep sea fishing and hunting. He was a jokester and liked to play jokes on his loved ones. David’s greatest passion in life was his family. He was a great dad and took very good care of his family. He loved his grandchildren very much and had special nicknames for each of them. David’s love for his family will live on in their hearts and they will miss him dearly.

David is survived by his wife, Loretta Manasco; sons: Daniel Manasco and wife and Justin Manasco; daughter, Ashley Manasco; eight grandchildren; brother, Cecil Manasco and wife and sister, Barbara Seals, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Shelton Sigler officiated the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
