Memorial services for Marvin Banduch, Jr., of Hugo, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 10, 2025 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo. Marvin passed away July 25, 2025, at the age of 60.

Marvin Louis Banduch, Jr. was born June 7, 1965 in Hugo, Okla., to Marvin Louis Banduch and Katherine (Williams) Battiest.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Marvin was a lifelong resident of Hugo and a graduate of Hugo High School, Class of 1983. He didn’t have children but oozed with love for his nieces and nephews whom he treated like his own children. He wasn’t a regular uncle; he was a cool uncle. Marvin was a great cook and enjoyed teaching others his secrets of cooking and ordering steaks. He was generous to a fault, the life of the party, painfully funny, reminding others not to take life too seriously. Confidence came naturally through him and inspired others to follow his lead. To know Marvin was to love him, he had a warm, caring and innocent heart of gold and would give up everything to fight for his loved ones. He loved his family and friends beyond measure and was always ready to help. Marvin was bigger than life, the greatest storyteller, always sharing his crazy stunts. He was a beautiful soul, bigger than life and unforgettable. The world will be a sadder place without him, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Marvin is survived by his siblings: Beverly (Battiest) Nelson of Durant, Okla., Deborah (Battiest) Tomasi of Tulsa, Okla., Larry Battiest of Albuquerque, N.M., Cathy (Brown) Davidson of Grant, Okla., Darryl Brown of Hugo, Jeanette (Banduch) Coker of Stillwater, Okla., and Sherra Kaye “KK” (Banduch) Taber of Quinton, Okla., along with a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.

Services are under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
