Honoring the life of “Bartender” Mike Matthews. It is with heavy hearts but beautiful memories that we share the passing of “Bartender” Mike Matthews, of Sawyer, Okla. At 68 years old, Mike left us on Aug. 4, 2026, resting peacefully and surrounded by the deep love of his family. Mike was a well-known face and a true friend to many. He brought warmth, laughter, and a helping hand to everyone he met.

Those left to cherish his legacy, include: his beloved wife, Sharon Matthews; his children: Danny Matthews and wife, April of Hallsville, Texas, Jonathan Levi Matthews of Hugo, Rachel Goodman Johnson and husband, Jason of Sawyer; the light of his eyes, grandchildren: Destiny Henbest-Watts, Ashley Clark and husband, Terrin, Logan Matthews and Blake Matthews and wife, Ashlyn; great-grandkids: Teagan Matthews, Ridge Matthews, Madi Matthews, Lily Matthews and Pyper Watts. He is reunited in heaven with: his sons: Christopher Matthews and Scott Goodman; his parents: Pauline Smith Matthews and Jack Matthews. Celebration of life services were held Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026 at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel. Services were under the direction of Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home. Thank you for your endless love, prayers and support during this difficult time.
