Nella Mae (Dale) Gargano

Memorial services for Nella Mae (Dale) Gargano, of Millerton, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026 at Valliant Assembly of God.

Nella Mae (Dale) Gargano, 90, went to her heavenly home on Oct. 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at her residence in Millerton. She was born on Feb. 25, 1936 in Millerton, the daughter of Sam Porter Dale and Eva Mae (Box) Dale. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jimmie Allison Dale.

Nella spent the early years of her childhood in Millerton. She cherished fond memories of time spent there surrounded by extended family and cousins. Though her family later lived in parts of Texas and California, her heart remained deeply tied to her roots and loved ones.

Throughout her life, Nella was a hard worker who balanced a variety of roles, including running a cattle ranch alongside her husband while raising their three children. Outside of work, she found immense joy in gardening and could often be found working in her yard well into her later years. Nella had a true servant’s heart for her community and a profound appreciation for military veterans. She proudly assembled a memorial dedicated to Millerton’s veterans, displayed in the community building –– an effort that earned her the honor of being named “Millerton Citizen of the Year.” Nella was also a true “prayer warrior,” her deep, unwavering faith in God sustained her throughout every season of life. Above all, Nella was devoted to her family and adored time spent with her children and grandchildren.

Nella is survived by her loving family; children: Gino Gargano of Millerton, Marc Gargano and wife of Redland, Okla., and Jennifer Huff and husband of Newcastle, Okla.; 10 grandchildren,; seven great-grandchildren, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Services are under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
