Norris D. (Butch) Thompson, age 80, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family Dec. 15, 2025.

Born on March 20, 1945 in Phoenix, Ariz., to Norris Thompson and Peggy McHam.

He was known to most by Butch, a name that carried with it a lifetime of strength, adventures and a kind heart. He lived his life with courage, a deep love for his family, and a spirit of adventures that never faded.

Butch was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who was deeply loved and cherished. He proudly served his country as a Vietnam Veteran with the 101st Airborne division. He was also a longtime member of the Kiamichi Independent Bikers; a group that he was proud to be apart of.

He survived by his loving wife, Diane Thompson; his daughter, Misty Pardee; his grandchildren: Colton Pardee and Alexis Pardee; and his cherished great-granddaughter, Karsyn Sessums; brother, Tommy Thompson, wife, Beth Thompson; brother, Greg Thompson; sister, Jo Maloney and many nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Norris Thompson and Peggy McHam; and his granddaughter, Skylar Michelle Thomas.

Butch will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and the lasting love he shared with all who knew him.

The celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Dec. 26, 2025 in Garvin, Okla., at the KIB land.

Services are under the direction of Prater- Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.
