Funeral services for Remonia Jean (Davis) Wyrick, of Hugo, Okla., were held Sept. 10, 2025 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Remonia passed away Sept. 4, 2025, at the age of 85.

Remonia Jean (Davis) Wyrick was born on May 11, 1940 in Speer, Okla., to Cecil Thurman Davis and Edith Lilly (Maynard) Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Riley JC Wyrick; brothers: Homer “Bud” Davis and Bobby Davis and sister, Jerelene Booth.

Remonia grew up in and went to school in Hugo, Okla. She married her beloved husband, JC Wyrick, on Dec. 20, 1958 in Hugo, where they enjoyed their life together raising their children. Remonia worked at Wells Lamont Glove Factory until it closed, then worked at Wal-Mart for 35 years. She enjoyed sewing and cooking, and especially loved making Thanksgiving dinner for her family. She loved her family more than anything and cherished her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and loved ones.

Remonia is survived by her sons: David Dewayne Wyrick and wife, Karen of Hugo and John Wayne Wyrick of Hugo; daughters: Tammy Helms and husband, James of Howe, Texas, and Donna Wyrick of Sherman, Texas; grandchildren: Jimmie Wyrick and wife, LeaAnn of Durant, Okla., Hollie Whitbeck and husband, Blake of Hugo, Samantha Helms and husband, Jaron of Howe, Texas, Christopher Helms of Howe, Jesse Stanford of McAlester, Okla., and Chance Wyrick of Hugo; great-grandchildren: Easton Wyrick, Logan Wyrick and Michael Whitbeck; brother, Harold Davis and wife, Donna and sisters: Judy Vaughn and husband, Clovis of Powderly, Texas, and Lajuan McDaniel and husband, Clarence of Hugo; numerous nieces and nephews, along with a host of other family and friends.

Bob Walling officiated the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
