Memorial services for Teri Lane Grider, of Arthur City, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 6, 2026 at Chisum Trails Cowboy Church in Powderly, Texas. Teri passed away Jan. 30, 2026, at the age of 70.

Teri Lane Grider was born on July 29, 1955 in Grand Island, Neb., to Charles and Joann Mowry.

Teri loved Jesus with her whole heart, and her faith carried her through every season of life.

Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. She was ever-present in their lives, always showing up and always involved. She and her husband, Jim made it a routine to spend intentional time with each of their grandchildren, never missing the chance to be together.

Each evening, Teri and Jim made their way to the lake, a place that held deep meaning to them, tied to Michael’s final moments, and remained a meaningful part of their daily lives.

She was a talented artist who loved to paint, an incredible cook, and was especially known by her grandchildren for her French toast. Teri was beautiful inside and out, with a kind heart, steady faith, and an enduring love for those around her.

She is survived by her husband, James Grider; her children: Marci Kern, Hannah Ford and husband, and Jacob Grider and wife; six grandchildren; and her brother, Ron Mowry and wife. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Worley Self; her parents, and her sisters: Sharon Quinn and Ronda Tuttle.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026 at Chisum Trails Cowboy Church in Powderly.

Officiating the service will be Doug Moreland and Nathan Darst, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
