Ulysses J. Adamson “Bubba”
Funeral services for Ulysses J. Adamson, of Oklahoma City, will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 22, 2025 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Ulysses passed away Feb. 12, 2025, at the age of 78.
Ulysses J. Adamson “Bubba” was born on Oct. 22, 1946, to U.V. and Allie Adamson. He was preceded in death by his parents, U.V. and Allie Adamson; his sister, Queen McFrazier and two brothers: Hershel and Darnell Adamson. Ulysses grew up in Bluff, Okla., and was in church at an early age. He moved from Bluff to California where he was in Job Corp from 1960-1962 and later moved to Oklahoma City in 1964 where he married the love of his life, Cleo “Cliff” Jeffries, and to this union four children were reared: Tony, Kyndrea, Ulionel “Totsy” and Kisha.
Ulysses worked for the City of Oklahoma City for 43 years and retired in 2011. He also worked part-time for Standard Building Maintenance for 30 years. He believed in working hard and instilled this in his children. He enjoyed watching old westerns and football and you could find him on Saturdays cleaning his beloved truck and listening to his soulful music. Above all else he loved his family, and his presence will truly be missed by his family. Ulysses is survived by his wife, Cleo “Cliff” Adamson and their children: Kyndrea of Atlanta, Kisha of Oklahoma city, Ulionel of Oklahoma City, and Tony of Oklahoma City; one sister, Versie Parrish of Hugo; five brothers: Willie V. Adamson of Willis, Texas, Joe Wayne Adamson of Cedar Hill, Texas, Cecil Adamson of Oklahoma City, Arnell Adamson of Hugo and Larry Adamson of Huntsville, Texas; 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2025 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo.
Interment will follow the service at Bluff Cemetery with Pastor Lavern McFrazier officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
