Wanda Lou (Goforth) Cain
Wanda Lou (Goforth) Cain, of Hugo, Okla., went to her heavenly home on June 10, 202, at the age of 84. She passed away peacefully in Paris, Texas.
Wanda was born on Oct. 13, 1940 in Caviness, Texas, the daughter of Eddie Lee Goforth and Mavis Marie (Mantooth) Goforth. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 54 years, Raymond Cain; daughter, Kim Stribling-Hunter; a granddaughter; brothers: William Goforth and Jerry Ashford and sister, Billie Ashford White.
Wanda grew up in the Paris, Texas, area and she married her beloved husband, Raymond Cain, in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Wanda worked several jobs throughout her life, first as a car hop in her younger years, as well as at Campbell Soup and later having her own beauty shop. Lastly, she pursued a career in the health field, becoming a registered nurse until retirement.
Wanda loved being outdoors; working in her flower garden, swimming and she was an avid bird watcher. She also enjoyed going shopping with her friends and family. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family and getting everyone together. Wanda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a friend to many. Wanda is survived by her children: Mark Stribling and wife of Paris, Texas; Rama Cain of Hugo; Gwenda Barath and husband of Hugo; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one greatgreat- grandson; two sisters-in-laws; a brotherin- law, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Arrangements were under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
