Zinna Yvonne Bowthorpe

A family-led memorial service for Zinna Yvonne Bowthorpe, of Hugo, Okla., will be held at a later date. Zinna passed away April 13, 2025, at the age of 58. Zinna Yvonne (Ellis) Bowthorpe was born on June 24, 1966 in Salinas, Calif., the daughter of Jack Orby Ellis and Reatha Lue (York) Freeman. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: JL Ellis and Jimmie L. Ellis.

Zinna was a homemaker and lived her adult life in the Hugo area. She was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. She enjoyed arrowhead hunting and spending time at the lake. Zinna loved reading and spending time with her family and friends. She loved making people laugh. Her greatest joy in her life was her kids, whom she loved dearly.

Zinna is survived by her sons: Brandon Robertson and Joseph Ryan Robertson of Vernal, Utah; daughter, Autumn Renae Robertson of Vernal, Utah; one grandson; brother, Jackie S. Ellis of Hugo; sisters: Rebecca Hallum of Hugo and Rhonda Goodman of Grant; a niece, along with a host of friends, family and loved ones.

Arrangements were under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
