Brittney Nicole Spalding
Funeral services for Brittney Nicole Spalding, of Antlers, Okla., will be held at 10 a.m.
Dec. 12, 2024 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo. Brittney passed away Dec. 8, 2024, at the age of 23.
Brittney Nicole Spalding was born on July 6, 2001 in Durant, Okla., the daughter of Tammy Spalding Green. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Patricia Spalding; infant sister; cousin, Danika Marie Spalding; granny, Theresa Green; papa, Ruble Coy “Pete” Green and aunt, Elizabeth Green.
Brittney was a graduate of Soper High School, Class of 2019. She attended Paris Junior College and had recently started attending Murray State College to pursue her dream of becoming a Vet Technician. Brittney loved life and was such a joy to be around. She was a people person and loved animals, but above all else she loved the Lord. Brittney was a member of Kent Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for the first, second and third grade children. She also worked in the nursery and with the youth. Brittney especially loved working with the children in Vacation Bible School or anywhere else she was needed. She was active in Soper FFA, showing goats and sheep. She also enjoyed feeding her papa’s cattle, which she had all named herself, and the chickens. Brittney enjoyed fishing but she especially loved spending her free time with her fiance, Nick. Brittney was always smiling and had an outgoing personality.
She loved to laugh and never met a stranger. Her passing has left a huge void in the lives of her family, friends and loved ones.
Brittney is survived by her fiance, Nick Penick of Spencerville; grandfather, Robert Spalding of Antlers; parents: Michael and Tammy Green of Rattan, Okla.; brother, Coy Pete Green of Rattan; sister, Michele Lynn Green of Rattan; uncles: Michael Than Spalding and wife, Megan of Osceola, Iowa, Dustin Spalding and wife, Megan of Antlers, Robert Lee “Robbie” Spalding of Antlers, Matthew Green and wife, Elizabeth of Rattan and Tim Green and wife, Amanda of Rattan, along with a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo.
Interment will follow the service at Sugar Creek Cemetery in Soper with Bro. Tim Green officiating. Bro. Charlie Muller will assist, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
