An old friend called ‘trust’
I feel fortunate to have grown up in a day and age when “trust” was an everyday thing.
You used to be able to discuss a business deal with a total stranger and ask him to meet you in a distant town... and you could count on him or her being there.
A hand-shake was as good as a signature and better than many.
Trust also had a buddy called “obligation.”
